OWEA installs a surgical-grade medical grade stainless steel (316L) valve engineered to optimize water flow through your existing meter reducing your bill bey reducing usage into and out of your property on all exterior plumbing components. This product is proudly made in the USA.

FUNCTIONS

WHERE DOES IT GO IN?  The smart valve inserts into the supply line on the building side of the meter.   Some buildings have one meter, others have multiple.  The valve works on each meter.    Example 1:  A drive through car wash most likely has one meter for all the usage. 

Example 2: A multifamily apartment complex may have a meter for each building, a meter for the leasing office and a meter for landscape/irrigation.  

PIPES - No pipes are ever cut during installation, (The vast majority of installations insert directly into the main supply line with NO cutting.  In some (rare) cases the access line has no collar to insert the valve.  In these cases the licensed plumber will need to cut the pipe and install a collar, a short section of pipe and insert the valve in the supply.  This is one reason why we use certified, insured, licensed plumbers.  Here is a short video of an installation https://youtu.be/BR05msv6hoo

DIGGING is required only when the installation point is below ground, and there is no room on the supply line for inserting the valve. This determination is identified during the site survey completed by the plumber. and yes they have to charge for this work.

​DOWNTIME - Some larger, custom size valves require more in depth installation, but for the most part installation is simple and fast.  The hurdle is arranging the installation time with the building operations contact.  (Apartment Buildings, and places of business like installation during NON peak times.   This is found during the site survey as well.
